About

Research data can be defined as the recorded factual material commonly accepted in the scientific community as necessary to validate research findings. FAIR data offers many benefits to scholarship. It increases the visibility of research results, it is citable thanks to digital object identifiers (DOIs) and it encourages the reuse of your data for new research questions and for verification purposes. FAIR data is research data (including code) that is:

  • Findable
  • Accessible
  • Interoperable
  • Reuseable

Respecting privacy and other ethical implications the guideline for data is “as open as possible, as closed as necessary”!
