ARAN repository
ARAN Repository
ARAN (Access to Research at NUI Galway) is the institutional repository at NUI Galway, hosting its digital collection of open access scholarly publications. It collects, preserves and makes freely available scholarly communication e.g. peer-reviewed articles, conference papers, working papers, book chapters and PhD theses from NUI Galway authors. Publications are made available on ARAN subject to the open-access policies of the original publishers.
The Open Access to Research Outputs policy adopted by NUI Galway in October 2015 requires that authors of peer-reviewed articles and peer-reviewed conference papers resulting from research carried out at NUI Galway must deposit a copy in ARAN. NUI Galway has also a policy of providing access to PhD theses in both print and online format. Students are required to deposit a copy of their PhD thesis in ARAN.
