Library staff provide support, help, and training to enable you to get to grips with the literature of your subject and the Library's resources. We have staff with expertise on information resources in your subject area.

The Library welcomes opportunities to advance our Digital Scholarship. Our areas of contribution include content, technology, infrastructure, partnership and the practice-based expertise in our team.
By participating in the Library's skills programmes, users will be empowered to become a lifelong learner. They will achieve success through the development of core academic skills such as:

These skills help users to achieve full potential during their studies, enhance their employability, and prepare them for further research. Our programmes are flexible and accessible.
The Library has excellent facilities for face-to-face group teaching sessions, complemented by a suite of online learning modules. An enquiry service will be available within the Team.
Academic Skills Librarians
The Academic Skills Librarians Team offers you a suite of generic information and digital skills sessions, bookable by all and offered at levels to suit your study needs.
They will help you with skills to find, search, choose, critically evaluate and use information.
They will provide a mix of online tutorials and Library Guides, as well as face-to-face sessions on demand. They will be supported by an Academic Skills Hub, where advice and support for your learning and research needs will take place.

The Library provides a range of Guides and Tutorials. You will find all your subject resources listed here, but also generic guides helping you with a range of information and digital literacy skills.
Academic Skills Hub
We provide an expert advice service using a range of formats including drop-ins, appointments, open surgeries etc, using appropriate technology to meet student learning needs during published times. We respond to all your enquiries, whether subject specific or more general, in an accessible and friendly manner.
