Library staff provide support, help, and training to enable you to get to grips with the literature of your subject and the Library's resources. We have staff with expertise on information resources in your subject area.

Need Help – Just Ask the Librarian service is open to all students of NUI Galway. The service is available Monday to Friday from 19:30-21:30 and on Saturday from 11:30-12:45, during this time the Librarian will either deliver a training workshop or be on hand to give 2nd level support to students on Library related queries. A monthly calendar of events is published online, the training workshops are open to all, in some cases students may need to attend an introductory workshop in order to attend the advanced training workshop.
The Ask the Librarian service offers support to individual students or small groups who may have questions on how to carry out information searches or web searches or need assistance with a reading list. Whatever the query staff are on hand to offer support. The service is located in the foyer of the Library, adjacent to the Hold Collection Room. Don’t forget if you Need Help – Just Ask!
